Half way down the Bloemgracht at number 87-91 there is the House with a Thousand Windows. This house is also known as “the Triplet house” or “De Drie Hendricken. Actually three houses, this is a very quaint golden-age building with step-gables.<\/p>\n

\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"\"\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n

How much windows does this house have?<\/h2>\n

Since we like to verify all facts in Amsterdam, we actually counted the little window panes.<\/p>\n

The real number of windows is: 1956!<\/p>\n

How Old is It<\/h2>\n

The house was built in 1642. It has some interesting details like marker stones and stained-glass windows.<\/p>\n

Certainly worth a small detour if you find yourself in the Jordaan area.<\/p>\n
